The film also features a star-studded cast, including Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Awkwafina, and others. This remake will feature new songs, which were written by the author of the original songs, Alan Menken, in collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda. According to press reports, the film will also have some changes in the plot, but the main idea and the general tone of the story will be preserved.
